For communities that are ready to take a deeper look, this process offers a more comprehensive understanding of what’s shaping participation and connection across your community. Often, there are underlying patterns—cultural, structural, or relational—that make it difficult for children, youth, and families to feel fully part of the life of the meeting. Naming these clearly is an important step toward meaningful change.

Through a series of conversations with administrators, members, and (when possible) families or young people, I gather a fuller picture of your community’s experience. This may include a simple survey, a review of current practices, and attention to how responsibility for nurturing young people is shared—or not shared—across the community.

We then come together for a longer strategy session to reflect on what’s been learned and begin shaping a path forward. You’ll receive a written roadmap with clear, practical next steps for the coming months. This is not about adding more activity, but about aligning your community’s practices with your values, so that belonging can grow in ways that are sustainable and shared.
